Make merry but stay safe, ambos warn
AUSTRALIA Day revellers are encouraged to ‘slip, slop, slap’ and stay hydrated on Monday, January 26.
St John Ambulance operations manager Jae Smith said people faced a heightened risk of heatstroke and dehydration if they did not take precautions.
“It’s also very important to drink plenty of water, especially when drinking alcohol on a hot day,” she said.
St John will deploy more than 130 event health ambulance officers and volunteers, plus paramedics at the Perth Skyworks.
