City rewards small business
THE City of Belmont will launch its inaugural Belmont Business Innovation Grants next month, allowing businesses to apply for up to $10,000 in four grant areas. Belmont chief executive Stuart Cole said the initiative came from the Property and Economic Development Team within the city and was endorsed by council last year with the aim of promoting aimed to promote local business innovation. Applicants must have a registered ABN, be within the city and employ 20 or fewer people. Grant winners will be chosen in April by relevant members of the Belmont Leadership Team, which consists of all the managers in the City of Belmont. Mr Cole said the four grant areas – retail facade, built form, land use and environment and sustainability – would offer up to $10,000 each..
