UNWELCOME STRANGER

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Opinion -

THE proposed council amalgamation is a bit of a gamble and somewhat like a boss sacking a good secretary for an inexperienced one who will cost more and probably do more harm than good.

It's like taking a stranger into your home while kicking an old and trusted friend out… as South Perth council has been to me over the past 44 years. around until Jerry was safely on the examining chair. Once, when Jerry was exceptionally weak, John got Jerry out of bed and into his wheelchair to take him to the dialysis treatment.

John’s patience, kindness and smile endeared him to us both. He helped us through a very difficult time. SHIRLEY MATHIEU, Rivervale.

Reporter Jon Bassett captured this great shot of a seaplane doing a test landing last week. Last November, Catalina Airlines commenced a 12-month trial to land seaplanes on the Swan River. The public is encouraged to have their say by submitting comments before November 27 to the Swan River Trust.
