Heritage award nominations open

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Near You -

NOMINATIONS are open for the WA Heritage Awards. The awards recognise the outstanding contribution of owners, volunteers, professionals and organisations promoting and conserving WA’s cultural heritage. Heritage Minister Albert Jacob said the awards, now in their 23rd year, showcased the work being done to revitalise stateregistered heritage places, setting standards in interpretation, heritage tourism, conservation and adaptive reuse. “The high quality and standard of the individuals and projects honoured this year illustrates why a heritage award is a highly sought-afteraccolade.” Nominations close on February 20 with finalists announced in mid-March.
