Leaders of the future

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Redcliffe Manning -

SOUTHCARE’S newest young leaders were accepted into the Emerging Young Leaders Program last week.

The collaborative program draws together not-for-profit organisations and talented young professionals to create diversity on aged care and community boards.

The launch kicked off an intensive program, which includes leadership and industry training, mentor assistance, panel discussions, board observation opportunities, site visits and team projects.

The City of South Perth is a Community Partner of the program and Mayor Sue Doherty said she was pleased the City had embraced the opportunity to become a Community Partner of the program.

“It is an exciting opportunity for young professionals to use, transfer and develop new skills to make a dynamic difference within board governance in the aged care and not-for-profit sectors,” she said.
