Look­ing for­ward to a rip­per year

THE Man­ning Rippers Am­a­teur Foot­ball Club is pre­par­ing for a big year.

Buoyed by a re­sound­ing win in the last game of 2014 and the sign­ing of for­mer Trinity Aquinas head coach Clay­ton Gar­diner and his team, the Rippers se­nior out­fit are ex­cited by the year ahead.

The ju­niors hope to con­tinue their suc­cess af­ter tak­ing out the Year 8 grand fi­nal and their sea­son will kick off with much ex­cite­ment with AFL club Carl­ton mak­ing an ap­pear­ance at James Miller Oval on April 11.

The club will ben­e­fit from Gar­diner’s WAFL and AFL ex­pe­ri­ence as well as his 300+ games coach­ing ex­pe­ri­ence.

His three-year sign­ing gives the Rippers an op­por­tu­nity for fur­ther suc­cess to co­in­cide with the devel­op­ment of a new club­house and re­de­vel­oped oval.
