Signs put safety first

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Rivervale -

A RECENT focus on safety for cyclists prompted the Rivervale Community Association to design small posters or cards that can be displayed in vehicles.

The signs discourage texting while driving, road rage and tailgating.

RCA member Roger Broinowski said the set of small digital designs cost $5 and people could print as many as they wanted.

“The idea is to get them out there quickly,” he said.

“We’ve got lots of good cycle paths, but people are increasingly dubious about going on the highways.”

The group is looking for a corporate sponsor to fund stickers or posters big enough for the back of buses.
