Scoot’s Dream Start in Australian market

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Rivervale -

PERTH Airport welcomed Scoot’s new Dreamliner 787900 aircraft to Terminal 1 on February 5.

The aircraft was met on arrival with a water cannon salute.

Dream Start is the first Dreamliner service to be operated by Scoot in the Australian market.

Scoot stimulated the Singa- pore market after it introduced its Perth service in December, 2013.

It injected $193 million into the WA economy last year.

Singapore-Perth is now the largest sector destination operating out of Perth and Australia’s eighth busiest international route.

“The daily services are proving to be very popular and customers now have the option to travel on one of the world’s quietest and most modern aircraft,” Perth Airport chief executive Brad Geatches said.

Scoot also flies from Singapore to Hong Kong, Bangkok, Taipei and three destinations in mainland China and partners with Tigerair Singapore to add to its network.
