ROSEWOOD Nursing Home residents spent time recently bonding with Belmont youngsters at Cloverdale Childcare.
“Our Cloverdale children prepared their delicious baking for morning tea for our visitors and spent the morning singing songs together,” Cloverdale Childcare director Antonia Murphy said.
“We celebrated some of our favourite Aussie songs by singing We’re Happy Little Vegemites in celebration of Australia Day,” she said.
Residents from the aged-care facility visit every few months to interact with the children, who are all aged between six weeks and five years.
“We believe in maintaining a strong connection in our community,” Ms Murphy said.
“It’s fantastic to have our older community members sharing their time with the younger generation.”
Mary O'Hurley and Yvonne MacGregor enjoy spending time with Emma (4) and Jay (5).
