I AGREE with "Dentist fees hurt" when he said in his letter in last week’s edition that the Australian
Dental Association should be monitoring the cost of dental procedures.
Dentists take X-rays every time you visit and always find something wrong, even if you just go for a clean. They then give you a list of what needs doing, plus the cost, which is so scary you aren't going to go back and get the treatment done anyway. How can pensioners afford it? Dentists will be old one day but when they need dental work they will be able to afford it because of the fees they are charging now. Name and address supplied.
