Cel­e­brate the City’s cul­tures

BEL­MONT’S di­ver­sity will be cel­e­brated with a Har­mony Week Con­cert on Sun­day at Tomato Lake in Kew­dale.

The free con­cert from 46pm is an op­por­tu­nity for cul­tural ex­change, Bel­mont Mayor Phil Marks said.

“Stage acts will in­clude dance per­for­mances by the Vil­lage Vibe Tribal African Dance and Drum Group, tra­di­tional Phillipino Tinikling dancers, and Mo­town hits by three of West- ern Australia’s Abo­rig­i­nal singers, The Merindas,” Cr Marks said.

There will also be a range of ac­tiv­i­ties in­clud­ing kids’ games and rides, a photo booth, face paint­ing and henna, and jew­ellery mak­ing.

Food and drinks will be avail­able for pur­chase at Tomato Lake Café.

Har­mony Week is a na­tional cel­e­bra­tion, held be­tween March 15 and 21 each year.
