Curtin uni mas­ter­plan wins a green star

CURTIN Uni­ver­sity has been awarded Australia’s first 5 Star Green Star – Com­mu­ni­ties rat­ing by the Green Build­ing Coun­cil of Australia (GBCA).

Curtin re­ceived the rat­ing for its mas­ter plan, which will trans­form its Bent­ley Cam­pus into a city of in­no­va­tion.

Green Star – Com­mu­ni­ties is an in­de­pen­dent, trans­par­ent, na­tional scheme de­signed to as­sess and cer­tify the sus­tain­abil­ity of large-scale mas­ter planned devel­op­ment projects.

As part of the mas­ter plan, 114 hectares of the Uni­ver­sity’s Bent­ley Cam­pus will be trans­formed through ur­ban re­gen­er­a­tion over 20 years.

Stage 1 of the mas­ter plan is un­der­way.
