SALES AF­TER the strong rise in sales across Jan­uary, there was neg­li­gi­ble change in re­ported sales by REIWA mem­bers across the South­ernGazette area over the four weeks to March 2.

By com­par­i­son, the over­all Perth mar­ket ex­pe­ri­enced a 17 per cent in­crease in sales.

The dis­tri­bu­tion of sales ac­tiv­ity be­tween houses and units was also vir­tu­ally un­changed. The most no­table change in re­cent weeks has been a shift in ac­tiv­ity fur­ther east with Cloverdale and Kew­dale en­ter­ing the top sell­ing sub­urbs at the ex­pense of Vic­to­ria Park and East Vic­to­ria Park.

Lo­cally, there was a 7 per cent jump in prop­erty for sale, which is now up 52 per cent on the same time last year. The top five list­ings sub­urbs re­main­ing un­changed.

The av­er­age time to sell a prop­erty lo­cally also con­tin­ues to rise, in­creas­ing from 66 days to 73.
