EASTERN SUBURBS ON THE MOVE
SALES AFTER the strong rise in sales across January, there was negligible change in reported sales by REIWA members across the SouthernGazette area over the four weeks to March 2.
By comparison, the overall Perth market experienced a 17 per cent increase in sales.
The distribution of sales activity between houses and units was also virtually unchanged. The most notable change in recent weeks has been a shift in activity further east with Cloverdale and Kewdale entering the top selling suburbs at the expense of Victoria Park and East Victoria Park.
Locally, there was a 7 per cent jump in property for sale, which is now up 52 per cent on the same time last year. The top five listings suburbs remaining unchanged.
The average time to sell a property locally also continues to rise, increasing from 66 days to 73.
