Demons fired up for new season
PERTH Demons launched their 2015 season at their Lathlain Park clubrooms on Saturday, with Butcher Medal winner Dene White named captain of the league team, supported by vice captains Chris Billings and Mitch Morton.
Earlier that day, in hot conditions, the team faced 2014 premiers Subiaco in a preseason match and went down 5.3 (33) to 20.17 (137).
Lathlain Park will be the location for the first WAFL ground televised on Channel 7 on March 28 due to round one being played at Subiaco Oval.
The club is appealing for a massive crowd here to support the Demons as they face South Fremantle.
Other home games for the 2015 season will be April 11 and 25, May 2, June 14 and 20, July 11 and August 1, 15 and 22.
The league team’s first game of the season is set for March 21 at Bassendean Oval against Swan Districts at 2.15pm.
Lathlain Park will also host a state game against the SANFL on May 23.
