Demons fired up for new sea­son

PERTH Demons launched their 2015 sea­son at their Lath­lain Park clu­b­rooms on Satur­day, with Butcher Medal win­ner Dene White named cap­tain of the league team, sup­ported by vice cap­tains Chris Billings and Mitch Morton.

Ear­lier that day, in hot con­di­tions, the team faced 2014 premiers Subiaco in a pre­sea­son match and went down 5.3 (33) to 20.17 (137).

Lath­lain Park will be the lo­ca­tion for the first WAFL ground tele­vised on Chan­nel 7 on March 28 due to round one be­ing played at Subiaco Oval.

The club is ap­peal­ing for a mas­sive crowd here to sup­port the Demons as they face South Fre­man­tle.

Other home games for the 2015 sea­son will be April 11 and 25, May 2, June 14 and 20, July 11 and Au­gust 1, 15 and 22.

The league team’s first game of the sea­son is set for March 21 at Bassendean Oval against Swan Dis­tricts at 2.15pm.

Lath­lain Park will also host a state game against the SANFL on May 23.
