Food brings Harmony
MORE than 30 nationalities are represented among the 387 students at Carlisle Primary School, making for colourful Harmony Day celebrations last Tuesday
ctivities included a national costume parade, a special assembly, a Bollywood dance performance, a 'trip around the world' where students visited classroom’s dedicated to a variety of international themes and a feast featuring an array on international foods. The school also held an 'International masterchef' competition where each class cooked something from a nominated country, and dishes included kimchee (Korea), potato cakes (Pakistan), butter chicken curry (India) and sushi (Japan).
