Pay rise re­port fact clar­i­fi­ca­tion

A PAY rise of up to $30,000 was awarded to for­mer Town of Vic­to­ria Park chief ex­ec­u­tive Arthur Ky­ron in the 2013-14 fi­nan­cial year, not his tem­po­rary re­place­ment.

The Town’s for­mer Re­new Life Pro­gram direc­tor An­thony Vuleta be­came act­ing chief ex­ec­u­tive in Fe­bru­ary 2014 when Mr Ky­ron left, mak­ing Mr Vuleta el­i­gi­ble to re­ceive the pay rise (in the Town’s top $240,000-$249,000 salary band) as part of his new role’s higher du­ties.

Fol­low­ing the State Gov­ern­ment’s aban­don­ment of lo­cal gov­ern­ment re­form ear­lier this year, re­cruit­ment for a per­ma­nent chief ex­ec­u­tive in the Town has be­gun and Mr Vuleta is el­i­gi­ble to ap­ply.
