READERS have thrown their support behindmunity after the new website was launched last week.

Facebook and Twitter users praised the new site for its simplified layout and user-friendly navigation.

The top three news stories for the week were the Mitchell Freeway extension, the sale of The Shops in Ellenbrook and the confirmed closure of Subiaco's Station Street Markets.

Editor-in-chief Matt Zis said he was excited about the response the website had received in its first week.

“We're really pleased about the feedback we've been getting and we're looking forward to continuing to provide the best local news across Perth,” he said.

Features of the website include an extensive What's On calendar that readers can use to promote their own events across Perth.

The real estate section features property reviews from across the metropolitan area, while sections for video and photo galleries are easily accessible.
