Black spots get funding
THE Federal Government will make five black spots in the Southern Gazette area safer with the announcement of funding for local road infrastructure.
Swan MHR Steve Irons said it would fix dangerous intersections across his electorate.
“Each of these intersections have been identified as posing a danger for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians, which is why I have worked hard to secure this funding commitment which will ensure targeted upgrades are made to these important arterial roads,” he said.
The projects were recommended by a panel of independent road safety experts and will be delivered during the course of 2015–16.
A key benefit of the Black Spot Program is anyone can suggest an intersection or section of road for a safety upgrade.
