IF your fitness routine has become exactly that and you want to shed a few kilos in time for winter, then Nordic sports may be what you are looking for.
Austrian-born Hannes Holly wants to share the summer fitness secrets he learned in Austria with Australians.
Nordic sports include Nordic walking, cross-skating, roller skating and skiing on skates designed to mimic cross-country skiing.
“The activities involve using skates, in some cases assisted by poles designed to give you a full body workout.” Hannes said.
“In Austria, it is designed to keep skiers fit during summer to get them into shape for the winter skiing season.”
Hannes said people could train 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Nordic Sports regularly hold events raising money for charities such as the Heart Foundation and has programs designed for seniors.
