Penrhos wel­comes back a star

CHAM­BER mu­sic lovers might want to head along to the Penrhos Col­lege Chapel on Sun­day, June 7 for a spe­cial con­cert.

The Col­lege is host­ing the con­cert to wel­come back class of 2003 alumni mem­ber and West Aus­tralian Sym­phony Orches­tra as­so­ciate prin­ci­pal cel­list Louise McKay.

Louise will per­form with Yale Masters grad­u­ate and head of winds at UWA, Ash­ley Smith, and one of Perth’s finest pi­anists, Adam Pinto.

The pro­gram will fea­ture the Clar­inet Trio by Jo­hannes Brahms, and also in­clude works by Si­belius, Liszt and Schu­mann, high­light­ing each in­stru­ment in­di­vid­u­ally.

All of the per­formed works come from the Ro­man­tic era and are sta­ples of the cham­ber mu­sic reper­toire.

Tick­ets cost $40 for adults and $30 con­ces­sion, and bookings made by June 1 re­ceive early bird pric­ing at $35 adult and $25 con­ces­sion.
