THE FACTS ABOUT HUNGRY KIDS

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - News -

Two-thirds of teachers report children went to school hungry or without having had breakfast.

On a typical day, three students in every class will arrive at school hungry and as a result will lose more than two hours of learning time.

Four out of five teachers report an increased workload due to hungry students, as the children find it harder to concentrate, are lethargic or demonstrate behavioural problems.
