Change in roles at en­ter­prise cen­tre

JULES Lewin will take on the role of Bel­mont Busi­ness En­ter­prise Cen­tre (BEC) chair­man, tak­ing over from Cassie Rowe who is step­ping down due to fam­ily com­mit­ments.

Bel­mont Busi­ness En­ter­prise Cen­tre is a non-profit com­mu­nity-based or­gan­i­sa­tion that of­fers ad­vi­sory ser­vice and pro­vides small busi­ness sup­port with a helpline, men­tor­ing, net­work­ing, legal and ac­count­ing sup­port.

Mr Lewin’s for­mer role as Tex­tile, Cloth­ing and Footwear Re­source Cen­tre of West­ern Australia chair­man will be taken on by Irv­ing Lane.

Mr Lane worked for 25 years in the fam­ily’s fash­ion busi­ness Lanes’ and Sport­slane as a manager/buyer and gen­eral manager.

The busi­ness was at one time one of the largest women’s fash­ion stores in Australia, and em­ployed more than 100 staff.

Bel­mont BEC chief ex­ec­u­tive Carol Han­lon con­grat­u­lated the new ap­pointees.
