Change in roles at enterprise centre
JULES Lewin will take on the role of Belmont Business Enterprise Centre (BEC) chairman, taking over from Cassie Rowe who is stepping down due to family commitments.
Belmont Business Enterprise Centre is a non-profit community-based organisation that offers advisory service and provides small business support with a helpline, mentoring, networking, legal and accounting support.
Mr Lewin’s former role as Textile, Clothing and Footwear Resource Centre of Western Australia chairman will be taken on by Irving Lane.
Mr Lane worked for 25 years in the family’s fashion business Lanes’ and Sportslane as a manager/buyer and general manager.
The business was at one time one of the largest women’s fashion stores in Australia, and employed more than 100 staff.
Belmont BEC chief executive Carol Hanlon congratulated the new appointees.
