Oxfam puts climate change on menu
OXFAM Australia is launching its new Food and Climate Justice campaign this week.
The organisation will hold an information night on the new campaign in Fremantle on Thursday, with fair trade food and shopping available for attendees.
Oxfam Australia WA campaign co-ordinator Paddy Cullen said he hoped the new campaign would act as a wake-up call on how important it was to fight climate change now.
“This year we saw Cyclone Pam devastate Vanuatu, the Solomon Islands, Tuvalu and Kiribati in one of many extreme events that are playing havoc with the world’s most vulnerable people,” he said.
The information night is on June 18. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP.
