MANNING library has been broken in to for the second time in two weeks. Thieves entered the library late on Sunday, June 21 through a window, stole $120 cash, rifled through doors and threw furniture in the main area of the library in a bid to find valuables. Librarian Crystal Larsen said the front door was replaced after the previous break in, but they were considering upgrading security. “We are going to have to buy another security camera; we have one but we are looking at getting another one,” she said. “The library was broken in to two weeks ago so we assume it is the same people.” Mr Larsen said the break-in was puzzling as staff did not keep a lot of cash on the premises. Kensington Police are investigating. Manning library members are asked to return loans to South Perth library until further notice.
