Siblings share the spotlight
COMO siblings who are both stars on the lacrosse field recently played in the Senior Australian lacrosse championships.
IT may have been a case of sibling rivalry at home for Como athletes Miles and Carlyn Blair, but the pair say that fortunately they have never had to face each other on the field.
The brother-and-sister lacrosse fanatics both started at Phoenix Lacrosse Club in Hamilton Hill and they played in the Senior Australian Lacrosse Championships from June 4 to 7.
Miles moved to Melbourne this year to play in the state league for the Footscray Lacrosse Club and has been named in the Australian All Stars Team.
Carlyn has been equally lucky, chosen to play in the West Australian Women’s team for the second time.
The pair divide their time between a university workload and their love of lacrosse, with 21-year-old Miles travelling between WA and Victoria to finish his finance and economics degree at UWA.
Carlyn is studying physiotherapy at Curtin University and plays in the under-23 Australian squad which will play in the Asia Pacific Lacrosse Championships in Bangkok this month.
Brother and sister Carlyn and Miles Blair have kept their sibling rivalry off the field.
