Students with the right chemistry
BELMONT City College came home with an 11th place after competing in the Royal Australian Chemical Institute Titration Stakes 2015.
Students trained with teachers outside school time to learn practical and theoretical aspects of chemistry.
The team will compete in the national final.
Team captain Joyce Donoso was nervous at the start.
“But all our training paid off when we realised we were finishing ahead of time...it was great to compete against other high-profile schools,” she said.
Principal Darrel Le Mercier said it was a fantastic achievement all-round.
