5 TIPS FOR WINTER GARDENING AT HOME

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - News -

1. Plants need regular feeding to be healthy. Use organic fertiliser to improve the structure and drainage of the soil. 2. With a sprinkler ban in place, now is a good time to mulch so your garden can retain moisture when it rains. 3. Clear your garden of weeds because they tend to rob plants of nutrients. 4. Remove old mulch from roses – it can hold a lot of insects and bugs. 5. Winter is the best time to plant, replant or divide plants that are getting too big. The ground is cooler so plants will not go into shock like they would in summer.
