St Bart’s to provide aged help
THE City of Belmont has transferred the operation of its Assistance with Care and Housing for the Aged program to St Bartholomew’s House.
The City decided to stop providing the service at the end of its contract on June 30.
Chief executive Stuart Cole said the decision was made due to reforms in the state and national aged care sectors and the re-prioritisation of the City’s core focus and future vision for service delivery.
St Bartholomew’s House took over running the service on July 1.
“St Bartholomew’s House helps people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness achieve positive life outcomes,” Mr Cole said.
“(It) is currently one of the five ACHA service providers within Western Australia, and will expand their service delivery to include Belmont residents.”
