WA­TER Cor­po­ra­tion’s Naidoc Week cel­e­bra­tions fo­cused on our most pre­cious re­source and its im­por­tance in Abo­rig­i­nal cul­ture.

Cloverdale Pri­mary School was one of four schools to take part in a pro­gram called Wa­ter in Abo­rig­i­nal cul­ture, aimed at recog­nis­ing the cul­ture and history of Abo­rig­i­nal and Tor­res Strait Is­lan­der peo­ple.

The pro­gram pro­vides ref­er­ence ma­te­ri­als about Abo­rig­i­nal cul­ture, in­clud­ing an an e-learn­ing lan­guage game, trainee­ships and grad­u­ate pro­grams.

Part­ner­ships in­clude those with Clon­tarf and Wir­rpanda Foun­da­tion as well as cul­tural aware­ness train­ing for em­ploy­ees.
