LOCK YOUR DOORS EVEN IF YOU’RE HOME

Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Street Watch -

WE have received reports of a number of break-ins in the southern suburbs, including one report of burglars befriending a dog and locking it in a room while they ransacked the house. The burglars gained access to the house through a doggy door and then stole numerous items. We are also receiving reports of thieves gaining access to houses through unlocked front doors while the owners are out in the back yard. If you are out in the back yard, please remember to lock your front door. Just because you are home does not mean people will not break in and steal items. Please be vigilant and if you find somebody in your house, do not interact with them or try to take matters into your own hands and if you feel you are in immediate danger please call 000. – Acting Senior Sergeant Roberta Robertson Acting Officer in Charge, Kensington Police Station
