THE cheapest suburb when Community Newspaper Group formed, Redcliffe has lost the title to Medina and is now in 83rd position out of about 280 suburbs.

“Over the past 30 years, Redcliffe would have greatly benefited from Perth’s immense urban sprawl, as many more new housing estates have since been created on the city’s urban fringe to cater for the increased population,” Momentum Wealth managing director Damian Collins said.

“Generally, there is higher demand for suburbs that are closer to the central business district.

“Redcliffe is located just 10km from the Perth CBD; this is compared to Medina, which is 40km away.

“Redcliffe has also benefited from infrastructure upgrades in the area, which make the suburb more accessible and desirable to live in.

“While Redcliffe’s close proximity to the airport might be off-putting for some, others, particularly fly-in, flyout workers, view it as a convenient location to live.”
