Band to play best of Bri­tish gig

THE South Perth Civic Cen­tre is set to come alive with the sounds of the Best of Bri­tish on Sun­day, Au­gust 9, all in aid of a good cause. The WA Fire and Emer­gency Ser­vices Con­cert Band will be per­form­ing hits rang­ing from El­gar to El­ton John to aid fire and emer­gency ser­vices work­ers. Spe­cial guest on the night in­clude Justin Friend, while Peter Moore will be di­rect­ing the con­cert. Many may re­mem­ber the play­ers as the Perth Con­cert Band who have been play­ing in WA for 95 years, win­ning a num­ber of awards for their pro­fes­sion­al­ism and ded­i­ca­tion.
