HALLELUJAH, IT’S A TOUR
FANS of The Rubens have praised their musical gods with the announcement of a national tour to coincide with last week’s release of second album
featuring the already loved track
Keyboardist Elliott Margin said the reaction to the lead single had been really good.
“When we played for Splendour (in the Grass) it was the last song of our set and it felt just amazing,” he said.
“The crowd reacted to it amazingly and it just went off – I think that’s a good sign.”
Perth fans can see the fivepiece band in action again next month when they kick-start their 22-date national tour in WA, including a “high-energy” show at the Astor Theatre on September 18.
“It’s the start of the tour and we haven’t toured in so long,” Margin said.
“We’re just really keen to be out on the road again and I think it will definitely show.”
And with a new album that was written with a focus on how the songs would work live, Margin promised the Perth show would be better than their last visit here.
