AN Aquinas duo will trade in their uni­forms for state colours af­ter both were cho­sen to rep­re­sent WA in dif­fer­ent sports in Novem­ber.

TWO Aquinas Col­lege boys will swap their blaz­ers for black and gold play­ing shirts af­ter be­ing se­lected to rep­re­sent WA in bas­ket­ball and touch football.

Jack Nor­rish will play for the 12 Boys Bas­ket­ball team and Zac Richard­son the 15 Boys Touch Football team. Both com­pe­ti­tions will be held in Ade­laide in Novem­ber.

Zac, who is a mem­ber of the South­ern Dis­tricts Touch As­so­ci­a­tion, said the sport was in his blood.

“My fam­ily have been play­ing touch since be­fore I was born, so I started by watch­ing them and even­tu­ally started to play,” he said.

“I'm re­ally ex­cited be­cause my mum, dad and broth­ers have all rep­re­sented WA so it’s my turn now. I'm look­ing for­ward to be­ing over there play­ing the game I love with my best mates and hav­ing a great time.

“I want to fin­ish the com­pe­ti­tion a bet­ter player and get the best re­sult for WA.”
