Best ho­tel, re­sort, res­tau­rant named

TRAV­ELLERS might want to check out the list of win­ners in Western Aus­tralia’s best ac­com­mo­da­tion, ho­tels and re­sorts awards.

The Aus­tralian Ho­tels As­so­ci­a­tion (AHA) Ac­com­mo­da­tion In­dus­try Awards were held at Crown Perth last Tues­day night.

AHA (WA) CEO Bradley Woods said the awards high­lighted the im­por­tance of the WA ho­tel sec­tor and the vi­tal role ho­tels and their staff play in build­ing the State’s rep­u­ta­tion as a premier tourism des­ti­na­tion.

“The awards recog­nise the high ser­vice stan­dards and pro­fes­sion­al­ism in WA and celebrate the ded­i­ca­tion of in­dus­try pro­fes­sion­als across a range of ar­eas,” he said.

Crown Perth chief op­er­at­ing of­fi­cer An­drew Hill was in­ducted into the Ac­com­mo­da­tion Ho­tel In­dus­try Hall of Fame by Deputy Premier Kim Hames.

Ho­tel Alex took out the gong as WA’s Best New Ac­com­mo­da­tion Ho­tel.

Crown Perth re­ceived five awards, in­clud­ing Crown Metropol win­ning the Best Re­sort Style Ac­com­mo­da­tion, Best Deluxe Ac­com­mo­da­tion and Best Over­all Ac­com­mo­da­tion Ho­tel.
