Care in safe hands
THE Fremantle Dockers are taught how to tackle and fall properly to help them stay safe on the field. Now three players are working with the Constable Care Safety Foundation to teach children how to stay safe in everyday life.
Stephen Hill, Aaron Sandilands and Luke McPharlin are ambassadors for the organisation, working with Constable Care to help teach young fans about harm prevention.
The Foundation delivers a range of educational safety programs for up to 150,000 children a year, including puppet shows for younger children and interactive forum theatre for teenagers.
Hill said he grew up learning the Constable Care message and said it remained vital for young children across WA.
“It’s great to see them involved with club events like the school holiday clinic, and I’m sure the kids that come learn a great deal from their puppet shows.”
