New pop-up cafe trend easily contained

SEEING a shipping container at Perth Airport might not be something unsual, but this one is sure to bring a smile to travellers.

The new Kwik Koffee Kiosk has been housed in the container thanks to the combined efforts of container company Royal Wolf and coffee experts Yahava.

A 10-foot container cube is connected to the main structure to provide robust, secure storage for consumables.

Nathan McKenzie from Royal Wolf said there was a container-café revolution sweeping the nation as the hospitality industry looked for new opportunities in a competitive market.

“Containers offer a highly adaptable and cost effectiveway to bring the pop-up store trend to life in a range of lo- cations which would have not otherwise been available to retailers and hospitality providers,” he said.

He said the container for Yahavan’s kiosk had been modified into a fully functioning cafe complete with fridge panel insulation.
