THE SOUND OF FAITH COMMITTED TO TAPE
NATIONS Church is set to release its long-awaited debut album of worship songs in October.
Members of the congregation, led by Chris Burke, have written and composed all the songs for the album, with other talented members helping with the music, album art and recording of the project.
The concept for the album began nearly a year ago with a team of writers and producers came together to work on original material.
Nations Church marketing and publicity officer Robyn Wilson said the album was something church members had been keen on for some time.
“The concept behind the album was to write songs that would encourage, uplift and bring hope to those who hear them, while reflecting the style and culture of our church music team,” she said.
“We endeavoured to write with a creative and fresh mindset, rather than just conforming to what may be considered a traditional church sound.
“Having spent the past six months finalising, producing and rehearsing the songs, we recorded them live at one of our Sunday night church services on the evening of July 19.
“Since then, we’ve been working on overdubbing, mixing and mastering the tracks,” she said.
The album, titled Seek, is set for release on October 18, and will be available on iTunes. Copies of the CD can also be bought at Nations Church in Myaree and Belmont.
