BELMONT police are seeking the public’s assistance in relation to a stealing and attempted fraud incident on July 3. About 3.30pm, a man entered the BCF store in Belmont and selected a fishing reel valued at $75. He then left the store without paying for it. About 3.45pm, the man entered a second-hand dealer, also in Belmont, and attempted to sell them the fishing reel. Police have released a CCTV image of a man (above) who they believe can assist them with their inquiries. The man is described as lightskinned with a medium build.
