KARAWARA local Alicia Curtis has taken home the Stella Giles Award for her work benefiting women and girls in the community. As the 100 Women founder, Curtis said the money she won would expand the group’s capacity to reach more women locally and around the world. Curtis received the $3000 award on August 15 at a Soroptimist International of WA award lunch. “I’m absolutely excited to receive this award on behalf of the 100 Women team,” she said. “The impact it will make is huge; 100 Women is run by volunteers, so sponsorships like this make a big difference.”
