Siblings set to shine
A COMO sibling duo are set to treat the community to one last classical music performance before jet-setting out of Perth.
Violinist Marlene Crone and pianist and organist Michael Crone plan to bring the sounds of Europe to the St John’s Lutheran Church with their concert An Evening in Europe.
After spending five years studying to complete her Master of Music in Germany, Marlene said she was excited to play the special show with her brother before she returned overseas.
“It’s very exciting to play a show with my brother. I’ve been in Germany for the past five years and don’t see him often,” she said.
“And this will be the first time we’ve performed together, just the two of us.”
The talented duo will treat audience members to the sounds of classics including Bach, Mozart and more. Marlene said she was looking forward to returning to her studies in classical music in Germany.
“The opportunities in Germany and Europe are endless. My ultimate goal is to win a position with a top German orchestra,” she said.
An Evening in Europe is on September 26 at 7.30pm. Tickets at St John’s on 9227 8072.
Siblings Michael and Marlene Crone will perform together.
