The story is set in Paris and follows a young boy who discovers a red balloon tangled around a lamp post on his way to school.
He soon realises the balloon has a mind of its own and the two explore the neighbourhood in search of adventure.
“It’s a journey of finding courage and finding friendship, while surviving the trials and tribulations life can throw at you,” Cowcher said.
“People try to drag you down and you have to find that buoyancy and the balloon is a beautiful symbol for that.
