Ngoolark a win­ner

BEL­MONT based PACT Con­struc­tion has won the Com­mer­cial Con­struc­tion $10 Mil­lion to $50 Mil­lion cat­e­gory at the 2015 Aus­tralian In­sti­tute of Build­ing Na­tional Pro­fes­sional Ex­cel­lence in Build­ing Awards.

It was awarded for its five-star energy ef­fi­ciency rated Ngoolark build­ing, Edith Cowan Univer­sity’s stu­dent ser­vices and ad­min­is­tra­tion build­ing.

Con­struc- tion gen­eral man­ager Jason Kun­kler said the team was de­lighted to re­ceive in­dus­try recog­ni­tion for the high-pro­file pro­ject.

“To win this award is a huge ac­com­plish­ment for us, par­tic­u­larly given the high cal­i­bre of the com­pe­ti­tion,” Mr Kun­kler said.

mil­lion stu­dent ser­vices and ad­min­is­tra­tion build­ing, lo­cated at the Joon­dalup cam­pus was de­signed to bring all stu­dent ser­vices fa­cil­i­ties to­gether un­der one roof, util­is­ing state-of-the art tech­nol­ogy.

“This ECU pro­ject was unique in many ways and its com­pli­cated struc­ture re­quired in­put from the whole con­struc­tion team, right from the com­mence­ment of the pro­ject,” Mr Kun­kler added.
