IN Australia, about 20,000 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer each year and more than 3000 men die from it, which is more than the number of women who die of breast cancer. Support groups help raise awareness of prostate cancer in the local communities, hosting guest speakers such as nurses, doctors, nutritionists, social workers, physiotherapists and pharmacists; and acting as a forum for people to share their own stories.
