THE South East Regional Centre for Urban Landcare (SERCUL) won the Australian Government Partnerships with Landcare Award at a ceremony last month.
The award was presented at the 2015 WA Landcare Awards held in Mandurah.
SERCUL chairwoman Pat Hart said the award was an acknowledgment of the organisation’s work and investment in community partnerships over a 12-year period.
“Our organisation works tirelessly with formal and informal partnerships with community and other stakeholders to deliver on-ground environmental restoration projects and provide a trusted communication between stakeholders,” she said.
“Since 2003, SERCUL’s successful partnerships have seen the organisation evolve into one of the largest not-for-profit, community driven landcare groups in Australia.”
