Martial arts with a message
BELMONT’S MMA 24/7 held a holiday clinic at Belmont Oasis for 75 children so they could get a taste of martial arts.
Operations manager Lance Kinnaird said the purpose of the clinic was to teach kids techniques to keep them safe.
“They learnt about stranger awareness and anti-bullying strategies,” he said.
“The drills and exercises were taught to them in a fun and engaging way.”
He said that learning martial arts could build children’s self confidence and encouraged physical actively among children.
