CURTIN University Football Club named its standout players for 2015 at a sold out awards night on Saturday evening .

The big winners were Nicole Mcvicar, who was named Curtin’s Female State League Player of the Year, and Eddie Tikoft, who won the same award for the men’s side. Up-and-coming youngster Jim Wallace was recognised for an outstanding season, being named under 18 player of the year.

Head coach Liam Pollock was full of praise for Mcvicar, a new signing this year, who plays as a box-to-box midfielder.

On Wallace’s season, Under-18s coach and Curtin’s technical director was full of praise for a “young leader with so much potential”.

“The team started the season brightly and outperformed last year’s season but more importantly, continued to develop into outstanding young men” he said.

Club president Campbell Ballantyne said Tikoft’s year was consistant.

Ballantyne praised the club’s volunteer workforce and urged the side on for the next season.
