Southern Gazette (South Perth) - - Opinion -

MY congratulations on your 30th anniversary, and a gigantic thank you for publishing that beautiful front-page photograph of six-yearold Beth Elbert who has Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other complications.

Then in the same edition, a family photo featuring handsome ninemonth-old Otis Harris who is coping with rare Hirschsprung’s disease, plus another six disability reports covering cystic fibrosis, guide dogs, cancer, meningococcal B vaccine, quad bike accidents and coping with pain.

To have so many disability stories in one issue must be a record.

Congratulations for bringing these personal issues into the community so that fundraising activities can be supported. WILLIAM BOOTH, Bentley.
