NEXT month is going to be huge in the City of Belmont as it hosts the Let’s Celebrate Belmont Festival.

In its ninth year, the annual festival has concerts, activities and demonstrations. Events include two Movies Under The Stars screenings, Jazz in the Park, Pop Art Fiesta and the Festival Finale.

Belmont chief executive Stuart Cole said it was going to be packed full of events.

“The festival is going to be bigger than ever and I encourage everyone to come along,” he said.

“As part of the City’s Reconciliation Action Plan, which includes holding Naidoc events, this year the festival finale concert will celebrate Aborigi- nal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, heritages and traditions and recognise local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ contribution to our community.

“With free entry to most events and activities and only a few with a nominal fee, it’s a great opportunity to come along.”
