PARMELIA Hilton staff volunteered to spend an afternoon at The Base@Belmont, the YMCA WA’s Belmont youth centre, as part of Hilton Worldwide’s annual Global Month of Service.

The 12 staff engaged with the young people in a range of activities including soccer, a pool competition and cooking class with the Hilton chefs.

YMCA WA chief executive Ross Kyrwood said it was fantastic for the Hilton staff to visit the centre.

“Our youth services team offer young people in Belmont a safe place to go to, support services, and a wide range of activities and workshops that teach them life skills,” he said.

Global Month of Service is Hilton Worldwide’s largest annual community service initiative and mobilises staff to engage in numerous volunteer events and activities around the world.

Hilton volunteers have provided support to more than 6700 projects worldwide, contributing more than 300,000 hours of community service.
